Xinghao Liang (born 1999 in Beihai, China) is an artist living and working in London. One of the experimental collective "Successful Artists". He studied at the China Academy of Art (2017-2021) and then at Chelsea College of Art in London (2022-23). The artist uses painting as a starting point for his work, after 2022 he began to continue his research and exploration through different forms of artwork practice - from installation, performance, painting, monolithic art, graphic design, music and video to name a few. Liang Xinghao explores the possibilities of new digital technologies, emphasising their reverse control and growth catalysis of biological flesh as well as spirituality, lifestyle and politics. Technology, post-humanism, love, empathy and evolutionary concepts - he treats them as themes and uses "cross-simulation" to treat the machine as a living creature and to allow humans and it to mimic each other. He wants to stand in the shoes of an "old humanity" and pick up on the "useless emotions" that remain in the midst of war, disease and the tide of big data. In his works I can't fish, but I am a good fishman (performance, 2023), the artist is naked in the gallery and controls his own electronic character dressed in bright colours in a game of electronic fishing; Endless love (Installation, 2023), in which a stone implanted with a human mind tries to show love to another stone, but never receives a response due to the class divisions inherent in "evolution".
